Who We Are
Odabashian is a fourth generation family business that focuses on bespoke design and manufacture of hand-woven luxury area rugs.
Established in 1921
Founded in Mexico City in 1921, in Dania Florida in 1979 and in Boca Raton in 1983, Odabashian is one of the oldest oriental rug retailers in the Americas.
With more than 90 years of oriental and custom area rug experience behind us, our newest generation brings a continued dedication to both traditional weaving techniques and to developing new innovative designs to cutting-edge hotel interiors and residences.

What We Do
We at Odabashian, understand the key role and importance of both, the interior designer and architect in a project. We consider our relationship with these stakeholders as a partnership with the single goal of a satisfied customer in mind. Most of our exclusive rugs are designed by world-renown architects, graphic and industrial designers. We pride ourselves in supporting local design and architecture movements in every market we work with.

- Hotels – From a small world-class eco-friendly boutique hotel in Los Cabos to an 800-room all inclusive luxury resort in Playa del Carmen, no project is too complex for us.
- Residential – We have worked with small projects such as a weekend condo in Miami Beach, to estates in Palm Beach. From houses in Valle de Bravo to a “starchitect”- designed residence in Mexico City.
- Commercial – Some of our projects include world-class nightclubs and restaurants in Miami, Playa del Carmen, Cancun and Mexico City.

Our Rugs
Odabashian focuses in the manufacture of premium and signature hand-woven rugs from the near and far east in both traditional and contemporary styles.
Our rugs range from the traditional Persian, Chinese or tribal designs that have been around for centuries to the new, modern rugs made from non-traditional materials such as sissal, hemp, leather or felt.

Our traditional line has the original colors, qualities and styles from Persia, India, Pakistan, Turkey, China and Nepal. Classic designs never go out of style; from tribal rugs to Persian traditional designs.

Contemporary Rugs
Contemporary and modern rugs have bold new textures, materials and style. Our focus is on developing and promoting new and established design talent for all of our new collections.
We are strong supporters of emerging design, especially in Mexico and Latin America and we continually develop projects to promote rug design in every market we work in.
Through our master weavers we experiment with non-traditional materials and techniques for a fresh contemporary look. From natural eco-friendly jute, wool felt and hemp to leather, vinyl and nylon shag, the options are nearly endless.
